Three tourists killed

RAJAPALAYAM: Three tourists from Pudukottai district were killed on the spot when their car rammed into a lorry near here on Wednesday.
Three others were admitted to hospital.
The police identified the deceased as I. Abubacker (41), K. Sheik Abdullah (35) and K. Kathirvel (32).
The driver of the speeding car, proceeding to Courtallam, is suspected to have lost control of the vehicle and swerved to the right, smashing it against the lorry coming from the opposite direction.
The bodies were stuck inside the mangled remains of the car. A. Suresh Kumar (32), C. Srinivasagan (33) and A. Veerapandiyan (31) were injured.
The Vanniyampatti police have arrested are investigating.
