OERC directive to discoms

BHUBANESWAR: The Orissa Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) on Wednesday asked distribution companies to strengthen their anti-theft mechanism for taking stringent actions against malafide consumers.

The commission has expressed concerns over the alarming rise in theft of energy due to meter tampering and bypass.
