Vets’ protest

Thiruvananthapuram: Veterinary doctors took out a march to the Secretariat and staged dharna before it on Wednesday to press various demands. They included setting up of a veterinary university, pay revision, sanctioning of special allowances, change in the working hours of veterinary hospitals, restoration of 58 posts of veterinary doctors abolished during the previous government’s period and appointment of a director. The dharna was inaugurated by Pannian Ravindran, MP.
