Novartis first quarter net up at Rs. 30 crore

MUMBAI: Total sales of Novartis India were up 10.7 per cent at Rs. 153.70 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2008. The profit after tax stood at Rs. 29.60 crore (Rs. 22.80 crore). The net profit was higher due to increased sales and higher other income during the quarter coupled with strict cost control, says a release.
