Lawyers’ boycott continues
Staff Reporter
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The indefinite boycott of legal proceedings by members of the Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association demanding the setting up of a High Court Bench in the capital city entered the third day on Wednesday. The day was marked by a three-hour-long dharna at the General Post Office junction. More than 300 lawyers took part in the agitation. The dharna was led by association president C.K. Sitaram. The members will take out a march to the Lok Ayukta on Thursday in protest against an alleged derogatory remark by the Lok Ayukta on the setting up of a High Court Bench in the capital.
