PUDUCHERRY: A three-day camp on entrepreneurship awareness for students was inaugurated at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College on Wednesday. According to a release, the camp was sponsored by the Indian Society for Technical Education and the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board. The Department of Management Studies of the college organised the camp. Inaugurating the camp, Director of Culture and Cultural Relations of Pondicherry University A. Balasubramanian said everyone should use opportunities at the right time. Every college should become a research place where students could develop their entrepreneurship skills, he added. College principal V.S.K. Venkatachalapathy said the placement and training cell of the college had helped students to get placements but there was lack of knowledge about entrepreneurship in students. Vice-chairman of the college S.V. Sugumaran and Managing Director M. Dhanasekaran and S. Jayakumar of Department of Management Studies spoke.
