Elocution competition held in Red Ribbon Train

COIMBATORE: An elocution competition was organised by the Directorate of Field Publicity in Red Ribbon Express train, which was stationed in Coimbatore on July 12 and 13. The competition aimed at evaluating the knowledge of the youth on AIDS prevention and treatment.

Theme

The theme of the competition was “My experiences in creating awareness about AIDS.”

Ramalingam Madhuri and Saravana Kumar, both from NGP Arts and Science College, and Arun Kumar from Bharathiar University, won the first three prizes.

Certificates

All those who took part in the competition were given participation certificates.

Participants

J.Kamalanathan, Station Director, All India Radio, Coimbatore, took part in the prize distribution ceremony. K.Parameswaran, Field Publicity Officer, presided over the programme. Ardra Ashok, Regional Co-ordinator, Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society, was present.

Prizes and certificates for the participants were sponsored by the Field Publicity Office, Coimbatore.
