Garment unit worker, wife found dead
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: A 35-year-old garment factory worker allegedly smothered his wife before hanging himself in Subramanyapura police limits on Tuesday evening.
The police gave the name of the couple as Ramesh (35) and Susheela (31) residing at Konanakunte. The couple were married for 11 years and had a 10-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son. Both of them were working in a garment factory nearby on Kanakapura Road.
The police said Ramesh had left his children with his parents at Tataguppe, a village off Kanakapura Road prior to the murder. A suicide note said they were dejected in life.
The Subramanyapura police have registered cases of murder and unnatural death and are investigating.
Three killed
Two women from a family and a driver died on the spot when a KSRTC bus rammed their car while they were returning to Bangalore on NH 48 in Kudur Police Station limits early on Wednesday.
The police said that Kuchalamba (40), Gowramma (60) and Suresh (35) died on the spot when the Mudigere-bound bus rammed the car near Soorappanahalli Gate.
