PMC team’s plea

PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry Munnetra Congress on Thursday urged the police to stop the drive against vendors on Bharathi Street and Nehru Street.

Vice-president of the party K. Lakshminarayan and party functionaries made an appeal to Superintendent of Police (Traffic) S. Kuppusamy.

Mr. Kuppusamy told them that the vendors were free to conduct their business after 9 p.m. but they should wind up by 8 a.m.
