Woman kills ‘drunkard’ husband

Ambala: Fed up with his drinking habit, a woman here allegedly killed her “drunkard” husband by dealing a fatal blow on his head with a wooden rod, police said.

Rekha (42) felt frustrated because her husband Bansi Lal, Class IV employee with the Railways allegedly used to spend his salary on consuming liquor.

There was a heated exchange between the couple in their house on Wednesday night over this issue after which Rekha hit Lal, the victim’s mother told the police in her complaint.

After police was informed, they took Lal to civil hospital here where he was declared as brought dead.
