THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The public will be given 30 days from the date the government publishes the gazette notification on land fair value to appeal to the District Collectors concerned against anomalies, Revenue Minister K.P. Rajendran told the Assembly on Thursday. Replying to a submission by Alphonse Kannanthanam, MLA, he said the government had received nearly 5,000 complaints on the draft notification on land fair value published earlier. The deadline for registering complaints at the level of the Revenue Divisional Officers had expired and it could not be extended. But, even after the publication of the final notification, which will come shortly, those who have complaints can appeal to the District Collectors. Mr. Rajendran said the officials had dealt with 826 complaints. The remaining ones were being examined. The officials have also been directed to go minutely into the draft notification and correct anomalies suo moto, before the publication of the final notification.
