Engineering, medical allotment published

Fee to be remitted between July 19 and 24

Second phase of allotment by August first week


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has carried out the first round of allotments to seats in engineering/medical colleges in the State.

The details of the allotment have been published on www.cee.kerala.gov.in.

A press note issued here on Thursday said the allotment was done on the basis of the 32,14,665 options submitted by 44,834 candidates till 10 a.m. on July 14.

As many as 166 colleges in the, aided, government-sponsored self-financing and private self-financing categories were included in the list of colleges to which candidates submitted course-college options.

As many as 95 private self-financing colleges (39 engineering colleges, 6 medical colleges, 16 dental colleges, 23 nursing colleges, 10 Ayurveda colleges and 1 Siddha college) have been included in this allotment.

Three medical colleges and six dental colleges which have not received the ‘letter of permission’ from the Government of India have not been included in the first round of allotment.

Candidates who have received allotment on Thursday should remit the stipulated fee/deposit/caution deposit in any of the 137 branches of the State Bank of Travancore between July 19 and 24 (till 3.30 p.m.) either as cash or as a demand draft drawn in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations A/C (SBT payable at Thiruvananthapuram).

Candidates who do not remit the fee/deposit/caution deposit within the stipulated time will lose their allotments and the higher order options in the stream for which they have received allotment.

Candidates who have received allotments to the MBBS/BDS course should take admissions in the respective medical/dental colleges between July 26 and July 29 by producing all relevant documents in the original, as mentioned in the prospectus.

Those who do not take admissions before 4 p.m. on July 29 in medical/dental colleges will lose their MBBS/BDS allotments and also their higher order options in the medical stream.

Candidates who have been allotted to courses other than MBBS and BDS will have to take admissions in the respective colleges after the second round of allotment. However, such candidates should remit the fee between July 19 and 24.

The second phase of the allotment will begin by the first week of August. Candidates can register options to courses/colleges that get included in this phase. The helpline numbers: 0471-645 8801-8 will be operational during the different phases of the allotment, the press note added.
