Minor killed in road accident
Jalandhar: A nine-year-old boy was killed in a road accident on Thursday when his bicycle was crushed by a truck on a National Highway.
Kamalpreet a student of Class IV of Kendriya Vidyalya in the Cantonment here, was returning after school when a truck rammed into the bicycle near Rama Mandi. He died on the spot, police said. He was the son of Surinder Singh, a head constable in Punjab police. As soon as information reached Kamalpreet’s house, family members and neighbours rushed to the spot and blocked the traffic for at least two hours. — PTI
