Rathotsava celebrated in grand manner

Chamarajanagar: A large number of people from various parts of the State participated in the famous Chamarajeshwaraswamy Rathotsava here on Thursday.
The event is famous because it is celebrated in the month of Aashada (July) every year. The ratha yathra has a special significance to the newly married couples.
The event began at 12.30 a.m. and the temple cars were taken out in a procession in the town. It ended at 2.30 pm. The district administration had made all arrangements for the rathothsava. Schools and colleges in the district remained closed for the rathotsava.
Cultural programmes were organised in front of the temple in the evening.
