BBA to have 415 extra seats B.Tech. gets 280 more seats NEW DELHI: For those who have applied for admission to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University here this year, here is some good news. Good newsThe University has significantly increased the number of seats for its various academic programmes for 2008-09. From 13,140 seats offered last year, the intake has been increased to 13,956 this year, an addition of 816 more seats. The University has revised the intake of its several sought-after courses. This includes BBA in which 415 more seats have been added this year, while B.Tech. has got 280 more seats. The BBA intake has increased due to addition in the number of seats at its existing institutions, including Chandra Prabhu Jain College of Higher Studies, Delhi Institute of Rural Development, Jagan International Management Institute, BLS Institute of Technology, and Trinity Institute of Professional Studies. Similarly, for B. Tech., the number of seats has gone up with the to addition of two institutions. Over 161,000 students have applied for admission to different programmes of the University this year, marking an increase of 20 per cent over the last session.
