MCD schools to get boundary walls

NEW DELHI: To ensure proper security and safety for children studying in its schools, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Thursday said it would be spending Rs.300 crore on making nearly 300 semi-pucca schools running in sheds or tents intact with boundary walls and grills.

Announcing the decision, MCD Standing Committee chairman Vijender Gupta admitted that these schools were presently not properly secured.
