Award to be presented

CHENNAI: The Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar Memorial Trust will present an award to the best organisation working for the welfare of the physically disabled children as part of the birthday celebration of Kumara Rajah M.A.M. Muthiah Chettiar on September 6.

The annual award comprising a cash prize of Rs.1 lakh would be presented at a function at Rani Seethai Hall on Anna Salai here. The Trust invites such voluntary organisations to send details about their work along with a copy of their audited statement of accounts for the year ended March 31, 2008. A copy of the date of registration of the organisation is also necessary to enable selection of awardee.

According to a release, applications must be sent on or before August 5 to the Secretary, Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar Memorial Trust, Rani Seethai Hall, 603, Anna Salai, Chennai-6.
