It’s an innovative budget: Ananth Kumar

Special Correspondent

BANGALORE: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Ananth Kumar hailed the State Budget presented by Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa as an “innovative one” which would help the State to march towards development without imposing any new taxes.

In a statement here, Mr. Kumar termed the budget as “pro-people, pro-farmer and pro-development.”

Some of the budgetary proposals made by the Chief Minister were not only innovative, but were being taken up for the first time in the country, he said. The budget would help remove regional imbalances in the State, he said.

Meanwhile, BJP State unit president D.V. Sadananda Gowda hailed the State Budget and said it had proposals for all categories of people including farmers, women, youth, Dalits and minorities.

He said through such a budget, Mr. Yeddyurappa was making strong efforts for the all-round development of the State.
