Constable’s murder mystery solved
Staff Reporter
Sangareddy: Medak police solved the decade old murder case of police constable G. Mallesham of Pahadisherif and native of Vikarabad, whose body was found near Malkapur of Kondapur mandal on July 18, 1998.
Medak Superintendent of Police Mohammad Iqbal, giving details of the case to reporters, said that investigations revealed that the constable’s second wife Mandula Sujata, who was a constable at Amberpet PS, had executed the murder along with three accomplices on July 17, 1998. Gudem Madhavareddy of Ravalkole village of Rangareddy district, D. Meena Reddy and Gandla Viswanatham helped Sujatha in the gruesome murder. Mallesham was allegedly throttled to death in a white car near Rudraram of Patancheru mandal and the body was dumped near Malkapur, 25 km away. Madhavareddy then hid the car in his garage in Tadban. Medak police arrested Madhavareddy on Wednesday and also recovered the car. As time passed by, all the friends became realtors. But one of the accused Meena Reddy committed suicide, Gandla died in a road accident and Sujatha is absconding.
