An interesting premise film review

Kalyan Ram

Film: Hare Ram

Cast: Kalyan Ram, Priyamani

Direction: Harsha Vardhan

Hare and Ram are born as conjoined twins to Chandramohan and Sita. After surgery, the doctor (Ranganath) tells the parents that one of the child will grow up with a slight abnormality and they will have to live with it.

It takes just a few minutes to realise that it’s just not their birth that is complicated but the entire story has an interesting albeit a heavy premise. Hari is the intelligent one and Ram is the dim-witted son whose brain begins to burst every time he seethes in jealousy and watches someone else being praised. While the smart one becomes a police officer the younger one is on a rampage killing people.

The first half of the story sustains interest and Kalyan Ram who plays dual role succeeds in chipping in a commendable performance. Priyamani as a CBI officer springs little surprise and the comedy is not up to the mark.
