JAIPUR: Rajasthan Governor S.K. Singh has called upon the universities in the State to prudently use the subsidy for higher education and speed up research activities to make use of “young talents” and create employment opportunities for them. Addressing the teachers of Bikaner Agricultural University in Bikaner, Mr. Singh said since the subsidies were given to the universities from the taxpayers’ money, they should be put to a productive and result-oriented use. Mr. Singh, who is also the Chancellor of all universities in the State, expressed satisfaction over the role played by Krishi Vigyan Kendras in rural development and underlined the need to publish agriculture-related material in a simple language grasped by farmers.
