70 lakh perform Govardhan Parikrama

Mathura: Lakhs of devotees have performed Govardhan Parikrama covering a distance of 23 kms during last six days in Govardhan near here.

“Over 70 lakh pilgrims have performed the Govardhan parikrama in the last six days. On Thursday night alone, around 25 lakhs devotees poured in the temple,” Additional District Magistrate Bharat Pandey said.

Mr. Pandey, who is also Mela officer, said that by regulating the traffic properly and releasing it at equal interval, we are trying to control the rush of the pilgrims.
