Woman restored to husband

Staff Reporter

Kakinada: A 26-year-old married woman Kiran Vedi, who ran away from her house at Hyderabad a couple of days ago, was restored to her husband Rajveer Yadav here by National Child Labour Project (NCLP) director G. Satyanarayana on Friday.

Vedi, a native of Harda district in Madhya Pradesh, had left home early this week without the knowledge of her husband, a stone worker, due to a family dispute.

She was reluctant to disclose what led to her leaving the house along with her one-month-old baby girl. However, she said that her child was missing during her train journey to Kakinada.

A local political leader found her in a depressed state at a pan shop opposite the Two-Town police station on July 16 and immediately informed about it to the police who handed over her to the NCLP. Based on the details give by her, the NCLP official got into contact with her father, who conveyed her whereabouts to her husband. Yadav hails from Kota in Rajasthan.
