GUNTUR: The District Legal Services Authority here will open a new Media Centre on Saturday and also begin counselling and directing people on legal matters through a helpline. The DLSA secretary G.V. Krishnaiah said that the District Collector G. Venkatesham would open the Media Centre at 10 a.m. and from 11 a.m. onwards the helpline would begin functioning and immediate legal aid would be provided to those who ring to these numbers: 0863-2323886 and residence No.2221048. Awareness programmesMeanwhile, the Chilakaluripet Mandal Legal Services Committee as part of its awareness programmes has organised a programme at AMG Degree College to spread awareness on laws applicable to Indian Christians. The programme would begin at 3.30 p.m. on Friday on the college premises, the Committee Chairman said in a release.
