HYDERABAD: Y.V. Subba Reddy, a contractor working on a mini hydroelectric plant on the Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme in Raichur district, said he would implement the work as per the agreement.

In a statement issued here on Friday, Mr. Subba Reddy, who is brother-in-law of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, clarified that he never told the Karnataka Government that he had no interest in continuing work on the mini hydel plant.

Referring to a report published in these columns on July 17, Mr. Reddy denied having given an interview to anyone on the issue.
