Expo on laptops today

VIRUDHUNAGAR: ELCOT will display high quality laptop computers, which it intends to sell to students with a 40 per cent discount, at the conference hall of the Collectorate here on Saturday.

In a statement, Collector V. Chandrasekaran said that students and Government employees could visit the expo and have hands-on experience of the ACER Travelmate laptops that come with Intel Core 2 Duo processor 1.8 GHz/ 2MB cache. The laptops would be sold for Rs. 29,829 and Rs. 31,717.

They will have features such as 320 GB hard disk, 2GB RAM, 15.4” extra bright TFT monitor, gegabite Ethernet, wireless Bluetooth, firewire and DVD writer.
