TV channel soon to beam House proceedings in Karnataka?

Bangalore: Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker Jagadish Shettar on Friday said in the House that he was contemplating starting a television channel on the lines of the Lok Sabha channel, exclusively for telecasting the proceedings in the two Houses of the Legislature.

This was in response to the demand by the Leader of the Opposition, Mallikarjun Kharge that the speeches of the Opposition leaders should also be covered live by television channels. Mr. Kharge and H.D. Revanna (Janata Dal-Secular) demanded that the facility be introduced in this session itself.
