dated July 19, 1958: Veterinary education

The Madras Government have decided to develop the Veterinary College at Madras into a regional post-graduate training institution in Veterinary and Animal Husbandry subjects commencing from the year 1958-59. The Government of India have selected this college as one of the regional centres for post-graduate training in veterinary science with Central financial assistance. The course will last three years, leading to post-graduate M.V.Sc. degree in five different groups of subjects.
