HYDERABAD: An undetected road accident death case of a Water Board employee, Syed Ahmed, of Langer Houz, turned out to be a murder allegedly masterminded by his wife. While the victim’s wife, Chand Sultana, 45, and her alleged paramour, Mohd. Jahangir, were already in jail in a cheating case, three persons she hired to eliminate her husband were arrested by the Commissioner’s Task Force (Central) team on Friday. The arrested persons, Mohd. Mustafa, Mohd. Yaseen and Mirza Imtiyaz Baig confessed to the police. Rs 2 lakh offeredTask Force Inspector M. Srinivas told reporters that Sultana offered Rs 2 lakh to Mustafa to eliminate her husband since the latter learnt of her relationship with Jahangir. Mustafa paid Rs. 25,000 each to Yaseen, Baig and two more associates, Abbas Ali and Baba Khan, as advance and promised to pay an equal sum after the killing. As per the plan, Abbas and Imtiyaz stalked Ahmed when he started for his office from the house on a scooter in the early hours of the fateful day and reported his movements to Mustafa over a mobile phone. When the victim reached Madina cafe near Mir Alam tank, Musatafa, Ali and Imtiyaz attacked him with iron rods. As Ahmed fell off his scooter, Baba Khan, who was waiting in a car, drove it over his head. Baba Khan and Ali are yet to be arrested.
