Tribal jumps to death from bus
VIZIANAGARAM: In a bizarre incident near Boddavara in S. Kota mandal on Friday afternoon, an unidentified 30-year-old tribal jumped through the window of a moving RTC bus bound for Visakhapatnam from Araku via S.Kota and got crushed under the rear wheels of the vehicle.
Passengers told the police that three tribals boarded the bus near Kasipatnam in Anantagiri mandal. When the bus reached Boddavara, excise sleuths searched bags and baggage of passengers for spurious liquor but could not find anything suspicious. Two tribals alighted there leaving behind bags that contained about 500 sachets of illicit liquor.
When some of the passengers alerted the conductor about the bags, the third tribal, fearing arrest, jumped out of the window and got killed.
