2 BDR men killed in firing
Special Correspondent
KOLKATA: Two Bangladesh Rifles personnel were reportedly killed and a Border Security Force jawan was injured in a heavy exchange of fire along India-Bangladesh border in West Bengal’s Murshidabad district shortly after midnight on Thursday night. BDR authorities have claimed that two of their personnel were killed, a senior BSF official said. The incident occurred around 0030 hours on Friday when the BSF constable, who was patrolling the border – a largely riverine area — in a boat, was shot at by suspected cattle smugglers, who were accompanied by some BDR personnel aboard another boat.
