BJP wins 3 seats

MUMBAI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won three of the five seats in the Legislative Council elections to the graduates and teachers constituency held on July 15 in a major set back to the ruling NCP and the Congress.

While the BJP won the graduates and teachers constituency in Pune, the other seat was from Nagpur graduates constituency, where BJP State president Nitin Gadkari won for the fourth time.
