One feared drowned

CUTTACK: A 14-year-old school boy, V Lalith Kumar Rao, was feared drowned while playing in the river Kathajodi here in the city on Saturday afternoon.

Local people, police and fire brigade personnel immediately launched a rescue mission, but there was no trace of the boy hailing from Jagannath Ballav area, police said.

Police said Lalith and his friends had gone to the river for bathing.

There they were engaged in a game plying with a rubber ball.
