Councillor suspended for 2 months

ADILABAD: Councillor Annapurna of the CPI (M) was suspended on Saturday for two months by Municipal Chairman Digambar Rao Patil for disturbing the general body meeting. The suspension came as soon as the meeting began and the councillor started protesting the inaction of officials on her complaint against an allegedly polluting factory. She also accused the remaining councillors of accepting bribes to keep the issue under wraps.
