YSR asks officials to depute doctors

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Saturday directed Principal Secretary of Health L.V. Subrahmanyam to depute a team of doctors to visit the malaria-affected districts of Srikakulam, Khammam and Visakhapatnam agency areas. He asked the department to combat malaria immediately.

Dr. Reddy issued the directive while reacting to media reports on 10,000 persons in Srikakulam district getting afflicted with malaria. — Special Correspondent
