Life term for 2 for South Delhi murder

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Saturady awarded life imprisonment to two persons who, along with a UP-based gangster, shot dead a telephone booth owner here nearly seven years ago.

Additional Sessions Judge V K Bansal held Med Singh and Brajesh Singh, both from UP, guilty of murder of Omi Udash and also imposed on them a fine of Rs.2,000 and Rs.2,500, respectively.

The trial against third accused, Satish Chaudhary, a dreaded gangster who was then wanted in 30 cases of murder and abduction, was abated after he was killed in a police encounter at Rohini here.
