DSS protest

BANGALORE: In protest against the Government’s decision to permit the opening of 1,000 liquor shops and 500 bars in the State, the Dalit Sangharsh Samiti (DSS) will hold a demonstration on Monday in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Bangalore and in front of district offices in all the districts.

Addressing presspersons here on Friday, DSS president N. Murthy said that the State Government had neglected the backward classes in the budget. — Staff Correspondent
