Inquiry ordered into death of newborn

Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy has asked the DHS to order an inquiry into the death of a newborn soon after delivery at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital at Alappuzha on July 18.

It will be conducted by a team of specialists from the medical college. The team will look into, among other things, any lapse on the part of the doctors who had handled the case.
