Nihal for Singapore

MANGALORE: Nihal Manjunath, student of Derik’s Chess School, will participate in the under-13 category in the World school chess championship, being organised by the Singapore Chess Federation from July 22 to 31.

Nihal had won silver at the Asian school championship held in Sri Lanka recently. He had won the State under-13 title last year in Mangalore. Nihal is a ninth standard student of Lourdes Central School, Bejai. — Staff Correspondent
