Coimbatore: District Administration plans to conduct a transgender census in the district. It has asked transgender welfare associations and non-governmental voluntary organisations to come forward to conduct the census and register their names with the District Social Welfare Officer on or before July 21. The ongoing effort to get registrations would also include enlisting of the associations for transgenders, a release said.
