Schoolboy injured

NEW DELHI: A Class XI student sustained extensive burns in an attack by some unidentified persons who threw acid on his face while he was travelling with his uncle on a bicycle on Saturday morning in the Capital’s Saraswati Vihar area. The uncle escaped with minor burns.

According to the police, young Rahul was with his uncle Yamuna Prasad, who works in Rahul’s school, when the incident took place. The two were rushed a local hospital from where the boy was later referred to Safdarjung Hospital.
