BoB to open 9 more branches

HYDERABAD: Bank of Baroda (BoB) will be expanding its network in the State by opening nine more branches this financial year.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday in connection with the bank’s centenary celebrations, Deputy General Manager (DGM) of the bank S. Kalyanaraman said that the bank would open a branch each in Medak (Sangareddy) and Nizamabad, as these two districts were left uncovered so far.

He said that the bank, which did a business of Rs. 7,586 crore till June 30, 2008, was targeting an annual business close to Rs. 9,000 crore in the State this fiscal. Proposals for establishing 10 new ATMs were submitted to the Reserve Bank of India.
