Last date for inclusion in voter list announced

Draft list published on July 16 and displayed in RDOs

VIRUDHUNAGAR: The last date for including names in the photo voters’ list of the seven Assembly constituencies in the district is July 31.
In a statement, the Collector, V. Chandrasekaran, has said that the copies of draft voter list that was published on July 16 have been put on display at the offices of Revenue Divisional Officer and the election booths.
Persons who have completed 18 years as on January 1, 2008 could apply to the nominated officials seeking inclusion of their names.
Besides, inclusion of names, those who have changed their residences outside the same constituency should use Form 6.
For deletion of names of those who have expired or those who were not ordinarily residing in the same address, Form 7 should be used.
Public can use Form 8 for incorporating corrections in the details of voters entered in the voter list.
Form 8 A should be used for people who have changed their residences within the same Assembly constituency, the Collector said.
