Lucknow: Over 3000 wanted criminals were arrested in a special drive launched by the Uttar Pradesh police over the past 24 hours, official sources said here. The drive was launched at midnight on Saturday by Additional Director General of Police Brijlal. Teams were formed to nab wanted criminals and those against whom non-bailable warrants had been issued. During the drive, 3188 criminals - including 1535 wanted and 1653 against whom non-bailable warrants were issued - were arrested, home department sources said here.
