Teachers protest against attacks

MALAPPURAM: Organisations of teachers who owe allegiance to the United Democratic Front have protested against the attacks on their leaders in the wake of a headmaster’s death in Malappuram on Saturday.

The Government School Teachers Union demanded that the violence unleashed by goondas and anti-social elements across the State should be quelled. It demanded action against those who manhandled its State leaders on the premises of the Medical College. The Kerala School Teachers Union warned that the attempts of teachers with allegiance to the Left Democratic Front to attack its leaders would be sternly dealt with.
