Marimallappa HS wins title

Mysore: Marimallappa’s High School, helped by some inspiring bowling performances from left-arm spinner J. Suchith (three for 38, inclusive of a second hat-trick in the tournament) and leg-spinner Sumanth (four for 24), won the ACUK Mysore Form’s inter-school tournament.

In the final at the Gangothri Glades Ground on Saturday, Marimallappa’s HS defeated St. Joseph’s HS by 10 runs.

The scores (final): Marimallappa’s HS 168 for nine in 30 overs (J. Suchith 51) bt St. Joseph’s HS 158 in 28.2 overs (N. Parikshith 63, N. Shreyas 58, Sumanth four for 26). Man of the final: J. Suchith, Marimallappa’s HS.

Semifinals: Abhinava Bharathi HS, Mandya 93 for nine in 30 overs lost to Marimallappa’s HS 94 for two in 20.5 overs (V. Suhas 45 n.o.).

Mahabodhi HS 107 in 25.4 overs lost to St. Joseph’s HS 108 for four in 24.5 overs (Shreyas 40).
