GUNTUR: Three vehicle-lifters have been arrested and 15 motorcycles have been recovered by the Central Crime Station police. Giving details of the various cases on Sunday, Superintendent of Police Mahesh Chandra Laddha said that Ongolu Venkatesh (19) of Sthambala Garuvu, Velugoti Praveen Kumar of Rajendra Nagar and Kattepogu Vajra Prakash of Mangalagiri have been stealing bikes parked in busy areas and selling them off for the past one year. The SP said that the CCS police were able to bust the case after keeping a close watch on the movements of two wheeler lifters. Of the arrested, Mr. Prakash was an accused in a fake note circulation case. The accused had lifted bikes in Hyderabad and cases were registered against them in Hyderabad, Ongole and Vijayawada. OSD M. Ravi Prakash, Town DSP M. Rajendranath, CCS Inspector B.P.Tirupalu and Pattabhipuram DSI S.V. Prasada Rao were present.
