ACB seizes Rs. 43,470 from RTO check-post

HYDERABAD: Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday seized Rs.43,470 from the RTO check-post at Renigunta, in Chittoor district, after conducting a surprise check of the premises.
Bribes collected
A press release issued by ACB here said during the check K.V.L.N. Prasad, Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector, was found with Rs. 2,070 excess cash. N. Chakrapani, transport constable, had an excess Rs.70. Besides, four unauthorised private persons were seen collecting bribes on behalf of AMVI from vehicle operators. They were found in possession of unauthorised cash of Rs. 21,740.
The release stated that an additional unaccounted cash of Rs.19,590 was also found in the office. The ACB was initiating necessary action.
