Ex gratia for kin of accident victims announced

Srikakulam: District Collector N. Srikant has announced an ex gratia of Rs.75,000 for the family members of the deceased and Rs.37,500 for medical expenditure of injured persons in Monday’s road accident which occurred at Peddapeta village in Burja mandal . The Collector also promised to take care of the education of the children of the deceased and also allot house site based on availability of land.

District in-charge Minister Shatrucherla Vijayarama Raju visited the injured persons undergoing treatment at the Srikakulam government hospital. He extended condolences to the family members of the deceased. He said that Rs.5,000 would be paid towards funeral expenses to family members of the deceased. Narsannapeta MLA Dharmana Krishnadas and Palakonda RDO PMJ.Babu were present.

District public relations officer D. Ramesh issued certificates to students who received training at the local Sexzen Computer Training Institute on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Ramesh stated that computer training was in great demand in the present-day context in view of massive job opportunities in the private and public sectors. The training programme had been organised for 40 days by the Visakhapatnam-based Minor and Medium Industries Development Corporation. Course coordinator D. V. S. R. Murthy was also present.

Government Women’s college principal K.Mythili left for the USA for participating in a four-day conference on "Ecology and it’s Technicalities" commencing on July 28. The four day conference will debate on existing ecological imbalances and ways and means of tackling them at the international level. Ms.Mythili has left to USA on Monday on invitation from the organisers in Texas, Houston.
