B-schools told to make students employable”

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: Governor Surjit Singh Barnala on Monday urged business schools to explore the potential of youths and equip them with the skills necessary to make them readily employable.

At the second graduation ceremony of Chennai Business School, he said: “There is abundant potential in our Indian youth. This potential is the centre of attraction for multinational companies. In Indian economic history, B-schools have an important role to play… The B-schools should explore the skills, train the human resources and generate relevant knowledge and creative application in the students.”

R.J. Shahaney, chairman of CBS Advisory Board, said that within the two years of formation, CBS had achieved its objective of preparing industry-ready managerial talents.
